Here is a card I made for my sister in law Debbie. She had surgery today and is doing well. I know once she has healed up from her surgery it will be a case of the “Best is Yet to Come”. She has suffered for many years and this surgery will get rid of most of that for her. Yeah Debbie!!
I used the color challenge today which was using baja breeze, pacific point and garden green colors. I am really loving this combination. I also received in the mail today my labels two nestabilities dies and was dying to try them. I used cuddle bug folders on the green layer and the Urban Garden DSP layer. It is a little hard to see on the picture but looks excellent IRL.
STAMPIN UP SETS USED: Best Yet, Serene Spring.
COLORS: Garden green, baja breeze, pacific point
ACCESSORIES: styled silver ribbon slide HPH, white embossing powder, sponge, Labels Two nestabilties, Curly label punch, white taffeta ribbon, silver cord, shimmery white CS
I hope this lets my dear sister in law how much I care about what she is going through.

This is the first card I have made with the pretties kit from Stampin up. I used a couple of methods to colors the white flower. I tried the water and drops of ink and this came out quite light. I thought I would try the other flower in the middle with the reinkers and that turned out a lot darker. I like the combination of the two. However I think I should have dried it longer as it seemed to bleed into the other flowers.

STAMPIN UP SETS USED: Pun Fun, Weathered BG
COLORS: old olive, certainly celery, barely banana, baja breeze
ACCESSORIES: Pretties kit flower, baja breeze reinker, Stampin dimensionals, water color paper, aqua painter.
This card was also for the sketch challenge this week at splitcoast SC211.
I am really starting to like water coloring. I also popped up the little sheep. It looks even better in real life.

Here are a couple of cards I made today. It was nice to have a little time to play. I did two card sketches, one from ihearttostamp.com and the other from Laurenm.blogs.splitcoastsatmpers.com

I used my Love owl-ways set for this card and the mytimess14 sketch challenge from LaurenM. I love the colors from the Raspberry tart Designer series paper from stampin up. So bold.

Here is the other one I ended up making for my Jake. He is going home tomorrow and I always miss him and wanted to give him a card to go home to his Dad’s with that would remind him of me. He got a new guitar to learn on this past week and so I used the colors from my Rock Star Card kit to make this card. He liked it. Already given to him. I finally go the chance to use the shadow technique and here it the results of that.
Hope you like it.

Here are a few sketches I did today and yesterday. Hope you like them. I am still working on how to post them and so it is not exactly how I wanted it done but I am still learning. I used my Flight of the Butterfly set from Stampin Up and the Banbury Designer series paper as my basis for each card. Colors used are certainly celery, close to cocoa, bashful blue, and pink pirouette.

I really liked this one more before I used the stickles on it. I was a little too gloppy.

Sorry I have been so delinquent. I guess you could blame my new job at the hospital, which I love by the way, it is taking up some of my precious stamping time, but it is nice to have a paycheck too!
TLC197
New challenge card done for Monday December 1st on splitcoast stampers. We were to brayer a piece of glossy card stock with a colour and then spray with simply green cleaner to get a speckled effect. I do not have any of that cleaner so used Windex instead. It worked pretty good but I think it is a wise idea to always spray it first to see how much will come out. I sprayed a little too much and had to cover the boo boo with my top layer, can’t really tell though eh.
Next I have the card I made this morning off Dawn’s website. I saw this a while ago and had to try it. I copied her idea almost exactly. This is the link to the video instructions. http://dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com/dawns_stampin_studio/2008/10/another-spinner-card.html
Lastly here are the cards I got to made at my up-line’s, Crystal, club meeting on Saturday. I always learn from her.
We got to play with Crystal’s Big Shot and cuddlebug embossing folders.
Here we made a emboss resist card using designer paper. Cool
On this card I learned that if you line up the tag punches right you can use them as square punches as well.
