Sketch Challenge 200

It is hard to believe that this is the 200th sketch challenge on splitcoast stampers.  Wow they have been doing this challenge thing a while now.  Here is the card I chose to make for this challenge.  I am wanting to get a better feel for the tangerine tango color so worked exclusively with this color and whisper white as my neutral color.

Well I have been busy!  I started a new part time job on Monday and am loving it already.  This job I can make more money at even if I do love my hobby more.  It seems like it will be a great place to work, and it being close to home doesn’t hurt either.

Here is the card I got to make today, finally (think I was going into withdrawal).

I did a double challenge card again as I seem not to be having as much time for stamping for some reason. Hmm!

Color challenge on splitcoast this week was hard, pixie pink, tangerine tango, and kiwi kiss.  I also incorporated Beate’s weekend sketch challenge which I hate to miss.

Colors:  Pixie pink, kiwi kiss, pixie pink, whisper white

ACCESSORIES:  Tangerine tango ribbon, word window punch, 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 circle punches, scallop circle punch and sponge

If you have any suggestions on how to improve this one I would love to hear it.  I am not sure about all that white space.

Sketch challenge 199

This is the card I made for sketch challenge 199.  We are still using the pink in honor of breast cancer awareness month.  I used an old favorite of mine this time, One of a Kind.  Hope you like it.

Color challenge card

Great color challenge this week on Splitcoast stampers website.  I made this card for my sister in law Jane who is a breast cancer survivor.  I am so proud of the strength she showed when she was going through the whole think.  She is a few years clear now.  Time does pass quickly eh!

Cards for my friends!

My friend Joy is having a card party next week and here are two of the cards I made for her party.  I think they turned out really well.  I just got the Humor in High Heels set and she was saying she liked it too so I made my first card from that set.

Weekend Sketch Challenge and Color Challenge

After a wonderful camping weekend we are back to normal life.  Daxon and Jake back at school, Claire playing at home with Mom and Dad at work.  Its hard to believe the weekend went so fast. 

Here is the card that I made for Beate’s weekend sketch challenge and for the color challenge for the week.  I am loving this color combination and the use of ribbon too.

Challenge cards

Here are two items I made today for the challenges I have been missing this week.  I have been so busy with stamp camps and World Card Making parties.  Its been great but tiring and not much time left for personal stamping.  So here are my attempts today.

One of the girls I stamp with wanted to make a milk carton so I sent her the template and couldn’t resist making one myself.

COLORS:  Almost amethest, Elegant eggplant, almost artichoke

ACCESSORIES:  Elegant eggplant grosgrain ribbon, sheer white ribbon, ticket corner punch

 

Next we have the color challenge for the week on splitcoast.  We were to use chocolate chip, tangerine tango and kiwi kiss.  Well I lent out my tangerine tango and kiwi kiss so here I used pumpkin pie and old olive, which I love.

COLORS:  Chocolate chip, old olive, pumpkin pie and very vanilla

Here are two more cards I made for the World Card Making day on SCS this last weekend.  I had to combine some of the challenges to get them done and submitted on time.

World Card Making Day challenges

Here are two of the challenge cards I made for World Card Making Day on Splitcoast stampers this weekend.

WCDMTLC08 was the tag we were to add to our card for this challenge.  We were to make a shabby flower cut out several times, curled under and layered up.  I used my Wild Rose set (glad I kept that one still) for this card.  I’m liking this color combination. 

WCDMFS08 is the tag for this card.  We were to look though another persons gallery, choose a card we liked and case it.  Here is my attempt.  This was a card she made with the Cami Tri-fold technique.  I used that technique and copied her color scheme and style as closely as I could.

Hope you like them.  I am hoping to post more tomorrow and add more details to these cards as well.  I have a little cutting up to get done as well and that must be finished first.

Here is my submission for the ways to use it challenge on Splitcoaststampers.com this week.  We were to use a quote in our card.    I used one from the Full of Life set.  I do like this saying.   A real friend does bring out the best in us. 

I  also am submitting this card for Beate’s weekend sketch challenge #60.  I do love her sketches and her blog.   I used my Hawaii Papaya Designer Series Paper to base my colors on.  I am liking how it turned out.
