Ontario Early Years Center cards and door prize

I am running a free event at the Ontario Early Years Center in Rodney on Saturday October 4th from 9:30 – 11:30 in honour of World Card Making Day.

Here are the cards I have designed to make with people on that day, simple but impressive as well I think!

STAMPIN UP SETS USED:  Lovely as a Tree, Say it with Scallops

COLORS:  More mustard, very vanilla, really rust, chocolate chip

ACCESSORIES:  Brayer, 1 1/4 square punch, stampin dimensionals

STAMPIN UP SETS USED:  So Swirly Wheel, Priceless

COLORS:  Mellow Moss, pale plum, perfect plum, whisper white

ACCESSORIES:  1 3/8 square punch, 1 1/4 square punch, large oval punch, wide oval punch, stampa-a-jig

Now for the cards for the door prize.  I used the stitched exotics set, and Parisian summer Designer Series paper for all of these cards and them made a box to fit them all. The box is a 5 3/4 x 4 1/2 pizza box design.

COLORS:  sahara sand, so saffron, bravo burgundy, pink pirouette, whisper white

I hope you like it.  Let me know what you think, I would appreciate any feedback before Saturday.

Thanks

WSC59, WT185 Cards and Cats

Here is the card I made for Beate’s weekend sketch challenge 59.  My kids Daxon and Claire are staying with their Aunt and Uncle this weekend and I wanted to make a masculine card for their uncle.  I think this will suffice.  They have a lab called Katie, she is a black lab but I didn’t think I should color the dog in black as it would not show the markings of the stamp.

STAMPIN UP SETS USED:  For Father, Wonderful words

COLORS:  Basic grey, kiwi kiss, baja breeze, night of navy.

ACCESSORIES:  twine, tool from the Dollar store, Coluzzle, pop up glue dots,

Here are a few pictures of my cats.  The newest baby is Lexi, she is part bengal and the older cat is my Himalayan Zorro.

CC185, SC195 Organic One of a Kind

This card I made for the Color challenge and sketch challenge on SCS this week.  I really, really like this one!

Beautiful colors together.  I used my new Urban Garden DSP for the two background pieces layered up with their colors.  I then used the Organic Grace Set to make the top panel with the ferns and then sponged the edges.  I stamped the flower in baja breeze and cut it out and mounted it with the stampin dimensional.

I stamped the saying from One of a Kind set and punched out with the large oval punch, sponged the edge of this too and then layered it again with the baja breeze wide oval punch out.

STAMPIN UP SETS USED:  Organic Grace, One of a Kind

COLORS:  Very vanilla, kiwi kiss, baja breeze

ACCESSORIES USED:  Stampin dimensionals, baja breeze ribbon, wide oval punch, large oval punch, sponge, Urban garden DSP

What do you think?  I am loving it.  Thanks for looking.

LSC186 Clean and Simple card

My first thought about this challenge was how plain, but I like how it turned out.  I haven’t played with my baja breeze color much yet so today was the day for that.  I hope you all like it.

STAMPIN UP SETS USED:  A Beautiful thing

COLORS:  Whisper white, basic grey, baja breeze

ACCESSORIES:  wide oval punch, large oval punch, white gel pen, baja breeze ribbon

We were only allowed to use one stamped image, one color other than white and one other neutral, and one sentiment.  That was a little difficult as I usually am trying to make a more complex card.  However I really think this is very classy.  I used a little paper piercing to add some dimension.

Had to make another one as I enjoyed this one so much.    Here it is:

STAMPIN UP SETS USED:  Always

Colors:  Basic grey, riding hood red, whisper white

ACCESSORIES:  Big Shot, nestabilities, cuddlebug folder, riding hood red taffeta ribbon, circle fire rhinestone brad

I looked at the other cards that were made for this challenge and just had to make another one.

WT184 and striped wipe card

This is the card I made for the Striped wipe tutorial on SCS and the ways to use it challenge.  I had a bit of a hard time getting the striped wipe to work for me but finally got it to work well using a piece of card stock inside the baby wipe to keep it more firm for the transfer on to the glossy white card stock.

I downloaded the black and white background paper from this website:

http://westamphappy.blogspot.com/2008/09/my-creative-son.html

Jami’s son who is in grade 8 made this in a photo shop course he is taking and I thought I would try it out for my card. I am going to have to leave her a comment and show here what I did with it.

STAMPIN UP SETS USED:  Stitched exotics, punches three

COLORS:  bashful blue, pale plum, basic black, glossy white, and shimmery white

ACCESSORIES:  Square scallop punch, corner rounder punch, bashful blue striped grosgrain ribbon.

Thanks for looking.  Let me know what you think.

Organic Grace Color challenge

Here is my submission for Color Challenge 184 at SCS.  I am really loving how this card turned out.  It is similar colors to last week except we used always artichoke instead of glorious green.  I definitely like this green better.

We used Riding hood red, basic grey and always artichoke on this card.

Stampin Up sets Used:  Organic Grace, Happy Anniversary (Micheal’s)

Accessories used:  Riding hood red taffeta ribbon, dimensionals, paper piercer

I just received my organic grace hostess set yesterday and I think it is so pretty.  I have several anniversaries coming up in my family and so will be giving this card to one of them.  My oldest sister is coming up on 30 years married.  Wow, that is incredible isn’t it!
